Parent Assistance Needed for Intersession, 2008:

 

 

 

1)  Needed:  1 or 2 parents that know how to thread and run a sewing machine, cut out fabric, and sew by hand, for Baby Quilt-making course.

 

Times: Mornings 8:30-12:30 Wed., Thurs., and Fri.

2)  For Car Care Course:

Someone (mechanic by profession or hobby) to teach oil changing, tire changing, filling window washers and checking water levels, etc. How to care for you car.

 

Contact from a dealership to demonstrate (with cars brought on campus) differences in features, prices, what to consider when purchasing a new car. Drive girls on property as "test drive".

 

Someone who could teach girls how to research buying a used car: pitfalls to avoid, checking for car's history online, etc.

Times: Negotiable

-- Interested in learning about Mosaic-Making

--Willing/able to transport a few students to and from the course location (Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland)

-- Available during the days of Intersession (10-4:30 or so)

4)  For Museum Trips to San Francisco, Brendan Daly needs a parent who can accompany the students and him on February 20 and 21, from 9 AM to 3 PM,  via public transportation, around our beautiful city; to lunch, to museums, and to Alcatraz.
