DANCE RULES

Hours:  Students must enter between 7:00 pm and 7:50 pm.  Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.  Doors will reopen at 9:30 pm for all attendees.  No one will be allowed to leave before that.  The dance ends at 10:00 pm.  No refunds will be given.

 

To Enter the Dance Students Must:  

á                      Present a current high school ID

á                      Be subject to search by security or faculty supervisor

á                      Have a genuine ticket or be on the print out list of attendees

á                      be a Notre Dame student or a high school male

 

Since the theme of this dance is ÒLite Brite Neon NiteÓ you may dress accordingly, but you must also adhere to the following rulesÉ

 

Dress Code: Students and guests with inappropriate or immodest attire will not be allowed to attend the dance.  No attire that promotes alcohol, other drugs, or is disrespectful toward men or women will be allowed.   Students will need to call a parent/guardian and wait to be picked up.  (Ticket cost will not be refunded.)

 

Male Guests:                  No hats or sagging pants.  No athletic jerseys.  No clothing that promotes alcohol, drugs, gangs, profanity, or anything degrading to males or females.

 

NDB Students:              Students may wear tank or sleeveless tops provided they cover the midriff and do not have plunging necklines.  Students may NOT wear short shorts.  Short shorts are more than 4 inches above the knee.  Bathing suits, halter tops, or tops with spaghetti straps are not allowed.  Students may wear sandals or open-toed shoes, but shoes must be worn at all times. No clothing that promotes alcohol, drugs, gangs, profanity, or anything degrading to males or females.   

 

Expected Behavior: Students and male guests may not engage in ÒfreakÓ dancing or any other sexually explicit form of dancing.  Students MUST face their dance partner. Everyone must follow the directions of the supervisors and the security.  No loitering before or after the dance.  Possessing, selling, giving away or being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, and/or illegal substances at or around the dance will result in a phone call to parents.  Notre Dame students are required to follow the provisions set forth in the Parent/Student Handbook relating to dance rules and policies. Smoking is not allowed at, in, or around the dance. All bags, coats, cell phones, and other hand-carried items must be checked in the coatroom.  CELL PHONES MAY BE CONFISCATED IF THEY ARE USED DURING THE DANCE.  No food or beverage items may be brought into the dance.

 

Food and drinks will be sold at the dance in the dining room.
