Admission Process

How do I apply?

  • Application forms and process for Fall 2009 - 2010 will begin in September 2008
  • Download the application forms online or contact the Admissions Office to request an application packet at 650.595.1913 ext. 315 or ext. 320
  • Complete the Application Form including the Student Questionnaire.
  • Return the application form to the Admissions Office.
  • Register to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) and NDB Writing Sample.
    • Notre Dame High School offers the Placement Test on January 10 and January 17, 2009. Doors open at 8:15 a.m. for registration and testing will conclude by 12:15 p.m. Lunch will be provided for students at the conclusion of the exam.
    • Students taking the HSPT at another school must take the NDB Writing Sample at Notre Dame on on January 10 or January 17, 2009, at 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
    • Applicants applying to more than one Catholic high school in the San Francisco Archdiocese or San Jose Diocese need only take the test once. Test scores will be sent to the other high schools listed on the examination form. Mark your calendar! No reminder will be sent!
  • Submit the Clergy Recommendation Form to your Church/Parish and return to Notre Dame High School.
  • Submit to your current school the Confidential Recommendation Form, Current English/Language Arts and Current Math Teacher Recommendation Forms, and Transcript Request Form and the school will return these forms to Notre Dame High School.
  • Request financial assistance forms from the Business Office. Forms are available November 24, 2008. Submit the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Student Aid Form 2009-2010 and the Notre Dame High School Financial Aid form by February 1, 2009. Complete the Archdiocesan Financial Aid form which includes the Clergy Recommendation. To be considered for financial assistance, you must complete all forms and postmark them by February 1, 2009. Do not wait until you are accepted to apply for financial aid as it may be too late to be considered for funding.
  • Decisions for admission are mailed Friday, March 19, 2009. Registration deadline is Monday, March 27, 2009,by 5:00 P.M.
