NDB Volunteer Opportunities

 

Listen for upcoming service opportunities on the daily announcements.  Students must sign up for volunteer projects with the faculty or staff member who coordinates the project.

 

Academic Departments

 

You can help any teacher or department with volunteer work.  Help to clean classrooms, file paperwork, prepare mailings, etc.  Ask teachers or departments individually!  For exampleÉ

 (Please note: Working as a TeacherÕs Assistant can either count as NDB service hours OR as TA credit, not both).

 

Admissions Department

Join the Ambassadors Club in order to sign up to volunteer at events such as Open House, Back to School Night, Freshman interviews, 6th/7th Grade Day, and the Freshman Welcome Dinner.

 

Athletics/Boosters Club

Concession Stand (December through mid-February), Crab Cioppino Dinner (November), Grade school/high school Basketball Tournaments (December) or high school Volleyball Tournaments (Fall), Office Help.

 

Campus Beautification

Help maintain the walking path next to Notre Dame Avenue after school or on a Saturday.

 

Campus Ministry

Volunteers are needed occasionally to help with special projects and filing.

 

Counseling Department

Help give a presentation at a Student Survival Skills workshop (junior and senior students only).

 

Development/Alumni Department

Volunteers are needed occasionally to help with mailings and other special projects.

 

If you are interested in volunteering on an ongoing basis (such as once a week), you can set up a schedule with Ms. Clemens to help in the office with projects such as data entry.

 

Events Department

Help with NDB events such as the annual auction (set-up, auction, clean-up), Welcome Mass and BBQ, Welcome Class of 2011, Open House, PrincipalÕs Circle, Senior Mother-Daughter Brunch, Baccalaureate Mass and Reception, Graduation, and Class Day.

 

Library

Volunteers are needed occasionally to help with straightening shelves, putting magazines in order, and other library tasks.
