JUNIOR’S ACTIVITY CALENDAR
Spring
- Take SAT reasoning test and SAT Subject tests, ACT test.
- Take Career and Educational Planning Inventory
- Take AP exams in May
- Begin to investigate colleges
- College Search – www.princetonreview.com

- Visit colleges during spring break, if possible
- Continue with Community Service
- Look at ways you can be a leader at your school for next school year, e.g. student government.
- Write to your U.S. Senator or Representative if you are interested in attending any Military Academy, the process starts now.
- Attend college fairs.
- ATHLETES: to play college athletics you must be certified by the NCAA. Start this process in late spring. Register on line at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net arrange to have your final junior transcript sent to the NCAA clearinghouse during the summer.
- Apply for summer programs at community, public and private colleges.
Summer –
- Visit colleges, take tours, schedule interviews, and narrow your college list to 6-8 colleges, which should include a safety school (a college that is close to home that you know you meet minimum eligibility requirements for admission).
- If you have not finished testing, register and prepare for the SAT, SAT Subject tests, and ACT. Last test score accepted by most colleges is the December test date of your senior year.
- Attend summer programs at community, public, and private colleges.
- Continue and finish up your community service hours for NDB.
- Register on www.fastweb.com for college scholarship information.
