How to use the Research Databases
The research databases are available 24/7. Login is required when accessing remotely. The login id is provided in parentheses beside each of the databases. The databases have been divided into the following subject areas: Periodicals, Reference, Health & Wellness, Government, Literature, Science, Social Science, World Languages and World Religions.
Expanded Academic ASAP Database (ndhs)Expanded Academic ASAP includes journals and periodicals covering a wide variety of disciplines, from social science, humanities and politics to medicine, general interest and science over the past 25 years.
General Onefile Database (ndhs)General OneFile provides periodical and news. Content includes more than 12,000 titles, with nearly 30 years of coverage.
General Reference Center Gold Database (ndhs)General Reference Center Gold covers national news magazines and core business journals over the past 25 years.
AtoZMaps Online (ndhs/tigers) The worlds largest subscription-based database of proprietary, royalty-free world, continent, country, and state maps. Included in the 4,000+ maps are: political maps, physical maps, outline maps, population maps, precipitation maps, climate maps, and other thematic maps. New maps are added to the collection every month.
Biography in Context (ndhs) The Biography Resource Center contains more than 440,000 biographies on more than 340,000 people from around the world and throughout history.
