Our workshop helps girls acquire a newfound confidence that gives them the permission, empowerment, and the inspiration to create the life they want. This event gives young women the power to prosper!  We inspire independence, confidence, and responsibility in young women and teach girls the skills they need to put the power where it belongs - with them! Girls attend informative and inspiring skillshops.  Topics include fearless speaking, positive thinking, money, unleashing creativity, time management, health and fitness, stereotypes, and body image.

A Race to Nowhere

Tuesday, February 23 at 5:00 p.m.

Oshman Family Jewish Community Center
3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto, CA 94303

This film examines the systematic pressures faced by youth and teachers today amid a focus on high stakes testing, competing in the global economy and increasingly unrealistic expectations of parents, universities, school districts and society at large.  The demands have crushing, widespread consequences. Many students are disengaged, cheating is commonplace, stress-related illness, depression and burnout are rampant and students arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired.

Please click to see a trailer and read more about the film.

Tickets for the Palo Alto screening are $12 and there are 170 remaining for the 5:00 pm show.  The 7:00 pm show is sold out.  Click here to purchase tickets online.

Several students from Notre Dame were exposed to an insightful history lesson when 85 year old Alice Braun came to share her first-hand account through Europe during WWII and her time at the notorious Auschwitz concentration camp.
