Dear Parents,
My heart is full of gratitude for your support of this
year's Auction and Raffle! Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure contributed
to one of our most successful efforts in recent memory. We could not have been
so successful without the enthusiastic leadership of Auction Co-Chairs Denise
Brady and Gina Poss '80 and Raffle Chair Ronele McCurdy. You all responded to
their initiatives and calls to action with a generous spirit, one that
exemplifies the community mindedness of our
school. Of course, it does take a village for an endeavor such as Motown 'til Midnight, and so we also extend
our heartfelt thanks to the following committee leaders: -
Carol Fitzgerald
-
Marci Dragun
- Shelley
Pavela
-
Daran Reinholm
- Liza
Vernazza
-
Jodi
Eggli
-
Trilby
Parker
-
Pichi
Mendoza
-

Santana

Leading and coordinating this entire effort with incredible
energy, daily focus, selfless efforts, and contagious spirit was Denise Severi,
our Associate Director of Parent and Alumnae Relations. Thank you, Denise; we could not have
done this without you!
While expenses and outstanding invoices are pending payment
this week, we cannot share with you the specific results of all efforts.
However, one notable success this
year was the raffle with gross revenues over $96,000. This is a $30,000
increase over last year's raffle, and there was 83% student participation. This is outstanding!
The winning raffle tickets were:
1st
Prize $15,000
Pauline
Bao, sold by Jean Jin '11
2nd
Prize $1,500
Sheila
Tilden, sold by Michaela Cotter '11
3rd
Prize $1,000 Alex
Coulter, sold by Alexis Coulter '12
We know that
the auction was successful, and we will announce just how successful in an upcoming issue of the e-bulletin after the
full accounting has been completed.
Once
again, I extend my sincerest thanks for your
generosity in supporting our mission "to develop
responsible young women of active faith, strong intellect, and Christian
leadership in an environment of academic excellence and mutual respect." Rita Gleason '66 Principal
