Notre Dame High School has ten departments, eight of which are academic. Physical Education, while not academic, does contain a Health component within its curriculum and is considered academic in nature. All students, regardless of athletic participation or off-campus athletic pursuits must enroll in Physical Education and complete the Health component.
Guidance and Counseling is an adjunct to the Academic Departments and provides valuable services and support for the students as well as for each Department. The Guidance and Counseling Department assists each student in accomplishing her life goals.
Curriculum review and revisions, expansion of course offerings and monitoring of student skill acquisition are among the tasks of each academic department. Curricular activities pertinent to the course or to the philosophy and goals of the department are frequently highlighted throughout the year.
