Notre Dame High School is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women. We serve students of varied academic capabilities from different religious, social, and economic backgrounds. As a school sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, we endeavor to implement the educational philosophy of St. Julie Billiart, “Teach your students whatever is necessary to equip them for life.”
Acknowledging that the development of the heart, mind, and body is essential and important to the growth of every young woman and seeking to educate the whole person, we support growth in six areas: spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical.
In our programs and teaching, we promote Gospel values, intellectual excellence, and commitment to service. Through our college preparatory curriculum and all activities, we educate our students to master the foundational skills of learning needed to become leaders of society and responsible citizens who are rooted in justice and service for others.
Our task as educators is not accomplished alone. We share our mission with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the Archdiocese of San Francisco, our students and parents, and the communities in which they live.
The Test Calendar is an on-line feature available to students and parents, which is used by teachers to notify students of any major test or project that is due according to a teacher’s syllabus. It is a convenient and helpful way for parents to become informed and for students to organize and time manage their active study of major projects and tests by the prescribed due date.
Power School is an on-line feature available to parents and students that enables them to access their daughter’s grades and individual progress reports. Power School is available in real time and is “password protected."
