Admission Process
Application Process - Class of 2013
- Complete the application form. The application form is available three ways:
- Be sure to complete the Student Questionnaire. Application deadlines are:
- Friday, December 5, 5:00 pm; fee: $50
- Friday, January 9, 5:00 pm; fee: $100
- Register online to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) or contact the Admissions Office at 595-1913, ext. 315
- Choose January 10, 2009 or January 17, 2009.
- Check-in is at 8:15 am; the test concludes at 12:30. Lunch is provided at the conclusion of the exam.
- Applicants applying to more than one Catholic high school in the San Francisco Archdiocese or the San Jose Diocese need to take the HSPT only once. Applicants indicate the high schools to which they would like the scores sent.
- Mark your calendar with the test date of your choice. Reminders might not be sent.
- The San Jose Diocese does not include a writing sample. If you are taking the HSPT in the San Jose Diocese, call Notre Dame High School to arrange to do the writing sample.
- Submit the Clergy Recommendation Form to your church/ parish/ faith community. If you are not actively involved in a faith community or church, complete page 2 of the Clergy Form and return the form with your application.
- Notre Dame will send the recommendation forms to the applicant’s current school. (Confidential Recommendation Form, Current English/Language Arts and Current Math Teacher Recommendation forms, Transcript Request Form)
- Download financial assistance forms online or request them from the Admissions Office or the Business Office. Forms are available November 24, 2008. Submit the Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Student Aid Form 2009- 2010 and the Notre Dame High School Financial Aid form by Friday, February 13, 2009. Complete the Archdiocesan Financial Aid form which includes the Clergy Recommendation. To be considered for financial assistance, you must postmark all completed forms by February 13, 2009. Do not wait until you are accepted to apply for financial aid as it may be too late to be considered for funding.
- Schedule a personal interview. (online or by calling the Admissions Office).
- Admission decisions will be mailed Thursday, March 19, 2009. The registration deadline is Friday, March 27, 2009, 5:00. Registrations received after 5:00 on March 27 will be wait-listed.
