GLOVES AVAILABLE FOR GRADUATES - MAY 14
The Front Office will be selling white gloves to graduating seniors for $5.00 beginning Wednesday, May 14.
SPECIAL SCHEDULE ON MAY 15TH
Please be advised that classes for students will begin at 9:30 a.m. on May 15th. Dismissal will be at 2:53 p.m.
FINAL DANCE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR - MAY 16
The final dance takes place on Friday, May 16. The theme is "Remember the Titans" in honor of the senior class. We are in need of chaperones! If you would like to chaperone, please email Theresa Vallez-Kelly at tvallez@ndhsb.org as soon as possible. Chaperones will be at the dance from 6:45 - 10:00 p.m.
PARENT PRESENTATIONS - MAY 22 AND JUNE 3
The Belmont Police Department will be hosting information sessions for parents at the NDNU Theatre at 6:30 p.m. on May 22 and June 3. The May 22 session will feature a nationally renowned speaker on "Internet Safety" and the June 3 session will feature a speaker from the San Mateo Narcotics Task Force on "Drugs and Drug Education." All parents are welcome to attend these free sessions. Students may not attend.
VARSITY BOOK BUYBACK - MAY 27
Varsity Books will be in the small gym on Wednesday, May 27 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 28 from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Varsity Books will have additional staff available to move lines quickly; you will receive your check within two to three weeks. If you cannot come to the Book Buyback, you will have the option of selling books online. More details will follow.
SUMMER COURSES FOR SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS
Click on the Summer Academy button on the NDB website and check out our Enrichment and Credit classes for high school students. Students can learn how to manage their personal finances, introduce themselves to American Sign Language, or learn the rules of the road in brief but intensive courses. Physical Education for credit is also available to help students build extra space into next year's schedule for study or electives.
STUDENT USE OF PERSONAL LAPTOP COMPUTERS
Students are welcome to bring their own laptop computers to
school and use them in the common areas.
Individual teachers determine specific guidelines for computer use
within their classrooms. Access to
the school's wireless network from a student's personal laptop is only
available in the Library area.
SUMMER COURSES FOR FUTURE TIGERS
NDB's Summer Academy
is a new program for middle school girls, which offers academics, enrichment,
and sports. Choose from 26
courses, including Fencing, Journalism, Video Production, Psychology, "CSI
Forensics," Fun Math, Drama, Study Skills, HSPT Exam Prep, Essay Writing,
and much, much more. The program
runs from June 16 to July 3, Monday through Thursday, on the NDB campus. Online
registration is now available.
