Dear Parents,

Back to School Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m.
The Back to School Night schedule is on the school's website or can be attained by clicking here.  Your daughter will be most helpful in transferring the PowerSchool Student Information to the Back to School Night Schedule. The evening's schedule and details are as follows:
  • Zero Period Orchestra will meet at 6:45 p.m. in Room 10.
  • First Period begins at 7:00 p.m. and includes a school-wide prayer.
  • Class periods will be ten minutes in length with a five-minute passing time between class periods.
  • Advanced Placement Chemistry will meet at Fifth Period in Room 264.
  • Advanced Placement Art History (online course) will meet at First Period in Room 236 and Third Period in Room 253 depending upon your daughter's schedule.
  • Mr. Levine's Fifth Period English I-G class will meet in Room 114.
  • Fourth Period will be extended to accommodate a Tiger TV presentation.
  • If your daughter has a Tri-School Class at Junípero Serra High School or Mercy High School or a Study Hall, you are invited to visit the Library, the Computer Labs, or the Guidance and College Center.
  • Bottled water will be available in the Dining Room throughout the evening.

In addition to our own security personnel, members of the Belmont Police Department will be assisting us with parking.  Please follow their directives when you enter and exit the campus.  There is no legal parking on Ralston and Notre Dame Avenues.

I recommend that you set aside this evening to meet your daughter's teachers and counselor and to learn the specifics concerning their expectations for the year.

My colleagues and I look forward to greeting you on September 9.

Sincerely,

Rita Gleason

eScrip logoLast year NDB earned over $9,000 from eScrip programs. They work with merchant partners to contribute to groups like ours each time you shop - at no cost to you!
  1. Go to www.escrip.com
  2. Click on "sign-up"
  3. NDB eScrip Group ID - 128400588
  4. Follow the instructions to register your grocery cards and your existing credit/debit cards.
In particular, Safeway cards must be re-registered annually by November 1!  NDHS earns 4% of your Safeway purchases.

Look at some of the most profitable vendors (over $2,400) who have contributed to our totals through the shopping of our families and friends:

Andronico's
Bianchini's
Claim Jumper Restaurants
Draeger's
eScrip VISA
Hola's Mexican Restaurant
JP Foods Inc - Piazza Fine Foods
Key Markets
Le Boulanger
Lunardi's
Mollie Stones
Pak N Save
Pavilion's
Safeway
Trags Market

Hey, we're all going to shop for groceries, and eat! Why not let NDB benefit just a little bit!

Monitor Skirt Lengths

Parents,

NDB students in uniformWe need your assistance in monitoring your daughter's skirt/skort length!

We sent out information over the summer about appropriate skirt/skort lengths and have already found some students in violation of that (this is not usually a problem with freshman at this point in time).  If your daughter is wearing the same item as last year, please verify that the length of her skirt or skort is acceptable (no more than 4 inches above the knee).  Because our students represent their family and school wherever they are, it is important to us that their dress manifest the mission and values of such.  We greatly appreciate your help with this.
