Information regarding semester grades lower than a C-

If your daughter earns a final semester grade of D or F in a required course, she should plan to replace that grade by repeating it during the coming summer. (All F grades must be remediated, and D grades should be remediated if your daughter plans to apply to a four-year college.) Your daughter's counselor will inform you whether a grade must be replaced and/or how many units must be earned. (Please note that colleges may apply replacement grades and units differently than we do internally at Notre Dame.)
Summer school courses reach enrollment limits early, so please review your daughter's grades regularly and enroll her in an appropriate course if it becomes necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your daughter's counselor:

From the Office of the Assistant Principal
Attention Parents of Juniors and Seniors,
I am sure one of the furthest things from your mind right now is Prom Night; however, there are things to put on your calendar regarding this event, and I wanted to be sure you had an early notification about this. Prom will be on Friday, April 20, 2012.
Each year, Notre Dame High School hosts a speaker for our students' Awareness Assembly which will be held on February 15, 2012, for our students during their collaboration block.
Our speaker this year will be Cameron Clapp, a triple amputee. Cameron lost his arm and both legs when he was 15 years old after getting drunk and falling asleep on a train track in 2011. He miraculously survived! We are requiring parents of juniors and seniors to attend this presentation the evening of February 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Moore Pavilion to hear this inspirational speaker.
At the end of the presentation, parents will pick up the prom packets that are required for juniors and seniors attending the prom. These packets contain specific information about the prom and the prom contract.
If you are unable to make this date, you may attend one of Mercy High School's presentations on either March 20 or March 26 at 7:00 p.m. in its place. You can receive more information about this alternative option from my office. Although they will not have Cameron presenting, they will have speakers to share valuable information with parents of students attending the prom.
In our continued partnership with you, we strive to collaborate with you in the best interest of your daughters. Please put February 15 on your calendar!
We also invite freshman and sophomore parents to attend this presentation. Underclass students whose parents attend this presentation will be granted a free dress pass for their use on any Friday (may not replace a formal dress day).
We look forward to seeing all of you on February 15. Please watch the e-Bulletin for further updates!
