Wellness Counseling
Notre Dame’s Counseling Department and Wellness Center strives to create a climate of care that nurtures the intellectual, emotional and spiritual development for our students.
Notre Dame’s Counseling Department is here to support students as they navigate their four years of high school and beyond. Based on their last name, students are assigned a counselor and work with the same counselor for all four years. Students meet with their counselor at least once a semester. Counselors facilitate one-on-one meetings, workshops during lunch and collaboration and school-wide initiatives. Students are welcome to schedule appointments with their counselor before school, during lunch and collaboration and after school. We teach students to be accountable for their academic future and we encourage parent/guardian involvement in their student’s high school journey.
School Counselors assist all students by:
- Advising academic and achievement strategies
- Supporting student social-emotional well-being and interpersonal skills
- Planning for postsecondary options
