Graduation Requirements

Notre Dame Belmont graduation requirements provide students with the necessary credits and variety of courses needed for admission to the University of California campuses, California State Universities, and private and out-of-state colleges and universities. NDB requires that students must take a minimum of 60 credits per year for graduation.
 
240 credits are required for graduation. All courses required for graduation must be taken at Notre Dame Belmont. 80 hours of service must be fulfilled in order to receive a diploma. NDB requires that students must take a minimum of 60 credits per year for graduation (the equivalent of six classes/30 credits per semester).

30 credits (ten credits per year including Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II)

Physical Education

 

10 credits (By the end of a student’s sophomore year, if she has not completed Physical Education I, she will be enrolled in the P.E. I course in order to satisfy the graduation requirement)

Spiritual Life

35 credits (ten credits per year at grade level)

Science

30 credits (ten credits per year including Integrated Science/Human Biology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Physical Science)

Social Sciences

30 credits (ten credits per year including Modern World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and Economics)  

Visual & Performing Arts

10 credits (see course catalog)

World Languages 20 credits (ten credits per year in ASL, French, Mandarin or Spanish)
