To enhance the learning environment, the Intersession Program provides students with educational experiences not usually found in a classroom setting. It is also an opportunity for faculty and students to share and/or explore mutual interests on or off campus. Intersession is generally held every other year as the calendar permits, so a student, in her four years at NDB, has two Intersession experiences. Intersession occurs during President's week and there is a variety of options from which the student can choose. These include on and off campus learning experiences.
Past courses have included: trips to the Yosemite Institute, College Tours, Close-Up, New York, Spain, Costa Rica, hiking local trails and exploring San Francisco while on-campus students have participated in cooking, baking, etiquette, dance, sculpture, murals, sewing and scrapbooking.
