Notre Dame offers a wide variety of courses that teach the fundamentals of multimedia and computer applications within the context of a specific discipline. The courses develop creativity in computing and practical, hands-on experience.
The range of applications include all aspects of digital video and still photograhy design, development, and production, web design/development and Web 2.0 tools for education. State-of-the-art desktop publishing systems are explored and utilized for publication of the yearbook and the school newspaper. Basic and advanced web designs are implemented using both GUI and programming tools.
After students explore programming in JAVA, independent study of advanced topics is available, from low level machine language to complex searching algorithms.
