A native of South San Francisco, Mr. Tomczak majored in Political Science and History at Santa Clara University, where he was inspired by the Jesuits' educational philosophy of teaching the whole person and emphasizing competence, conscience, and compassion. He went on to earn his M.A. in Education from Stanford University. Mr. Tomczak has taught all different grade levels at high schools on the Peninsula, and he's excited to bring his passion for learning and commitment to social justice to Notre Dame. When not teaching, Mr. Tomczak enjoys creative writing, acting, and promoting civic engagement for high school students.
