This year will be Miss Vega's first teaching at Notre Dame. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Sciences from the University of Cambridge, England, before earning her teaching degree at the University of Buckingham. She has spent the last two years at a girls' boarding school in the English countryside teaching high school physics, alongside middle school chemistry and engineering. Miss Vega's love of travel and adventure led her to move to the Bay Area in August 2017, and, alongside teaching all levels of physics at Notre Dame, she is excited to explore the local outdoors - hiking and climbing in Yosemite, Sequoia, Redwood, and Joshua Tree national parks and skiing at Lake Tahoe are at the top of her to-do list. Outside of the classroom, you'll find Miss Vega rock climbing, coaching lacrosse or playing guitar and drums.
