The Athletics Hall of Fame is organized for the purpose of recognizing the rich tradition of athletic success at Notre Dame Belmont High School. It serves as a means of honoring and recognizing the athletes, teams, students, coaches, and supporters who made significant contributions to the Tiger tradition of excellence. Induction events occur every two years.

It is with great honor that we share the Inaugural Notre Dame Belmont Athletics Hall of Fame Class, inducted on April 20, 2024:
Loren Gualco-Coleman, Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field, 1997
Loren was team MVP and all league selection for basketball during all four years at NDB. She still holds the record for most points, rebounds and blocks in a single season and game. Loren was also a standout high jumper who qualified for State and held the school record until 2023. She won CCS Titles in both Volleyball and Basketball before continuing her athletic career at Cal State Fullerton.
Chioma Igwe, Soccer, 2004
Chioma was the WCAL Player of the Year and First Team Selection in 2004. She won two CCS Championships and one WCAL title while at NDB. After NDB, she competed at Santa Clara University and California Berkeley. Chioma has played for many U.S. national teams and played in over 130 international professional games. In 2017, she was inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame.
Bill Harke, NDB Athletic Director from 1993 to 1997
Bill was one of our former athletic directors. He built the NDB athletics program from the ground up and was responsible for laying the groundwork for the success the athletic department had in the late 90's .

Sheila Langrock, Softball, 1977
Sheila played varsity softball as a fast pitch pitcher all four years at NDB. She pitched their way to the CCS championships in 1977 after throwing a no hitter against Willow Glen in the semifinals. During that year, she compiled a 15-3 record (9-0) in league play and had an E.R.A of 0.60 striking out 110 in 92.6 innings. She led the team in batting with a .501 average, runs scored, singles and doubles. She was named to the 1977 League All-Star team, was voted the school’s “Athlete of the Year” and was selected as a High School All Star by WomenSports Magazine. She was invited to try out for the international women’s professional softball team the San Jose Sunbirds. Sheila also pitched for an all-star team that toured Taiwan. During her four years at NDB, she played on the Volleyball team and played center half on AYSO & CYSA soccer teams. Sheila received one of the first women’s athletic scholarships to CAL Poly SLO in 1978 and was awarded “The coaches award” in 1979. She is currently ranked eighth in program history with thirty eight victories and seventh in career shutouts.
2004 Soccer Team
The 2004 varsity soccer team were the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) and Central Coast Section (CCS) outright champions. Not only did they have the Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year on the team, they had 8 players that earned WCAL First and Second team All-league recognition. Seventeen of the players on this team won back-to-back CCS championships and eleven players went on to play intercollegiate soccer.
