As part of our Strong Minds, Strong Bodies empowerment series, students recently had the inspiring opportunity to hear from Ms. Dedra Tufon Bauer, an expert in personal development and a former pageant queen. Drawing on her experiences both on stage and off, Ms. Bauer engaged students in an uplifting discussion about the importance of self-acceptance and cultivating a positive self-image. Students left with actionable strategies to foster self-love, resilience and empowerment in their everyday lives. Following the talk, sudents were invited to write positive affirmations on mirrors at lunch this week to further instill values of self-love.
