- Events and Activities
This week Notre Dame Belmont (NDB) celebrates Foundresses Week! Founded in 1851 and sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, NDB is dedicated to the educational mission of St. Julie Billiart. This week there will be several activities and events on campus to celebrate the history of NDB and the lineage of Sisters of Notre Dame.
The week will kick off with Foundresses Day Mass on Tuesday honoring Sisters of Notre Dame Co-Foundresses Sister Julie Billiart and Françoise Blin de Bourdon. Throughout the week there were several fun activities to continue the celebration including a visit from Guest Speaker Lizzie Dalton Mercy Beyond Borders who will speak with students about how to help empower women and girls through education, as well as cookie decorating and affirmation card making activities during lunch.
With our 102nd class graduating this spring, we are incredibly grateful for the lineage of women who have come before us. Go Tigers!
"Do everything for the love of the good God who has done everything for us.” - St. Julie
