NDB Choir Shines at Santa Clara University's High School Choral Festival

Students in the Notre Dame Belmont (NDB) Choirs joined singers from high schools around the Bay Area at the Santa Clara University (SCU) High School Choral Festival on Saturday, January 24. They did interactive warmups and workshopped two pieces, “O Love” by Elaine Hagenburg and two movements of “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff. This workshop was conducted by Dr. Scot Hanna-Weir and Professor Jason Gallardo. “O Love” and “Carmina Burana” were sung by all of the high school students in tandem with the SCU Chamber Singers. In addition to the festival pieces, each school performed several selections on their own. The NDB choirs sang “Listen” by Reena Esmail and “Gloria” by David Giardiniere. The final performance was held in the Mission Santa Clara de Asis for a full audience. We are so proud of our musical Tigers for their wonderful performance!
